Golfers for 22nd Louis Bailey Outing Have Great Day

The weather reports were ominous, the skies threatened all day, but that didn't deter any of the supporters who arrived at the South Shore Country Club on June 15th to support the Arc.

This year’s outing was presented by S-Bank, other sponsors included the John A. Mc Neice, Jr. Charitable Foundation, Silent Auction/Dinner Sponsor, Massachusetts Council Knights of Columbus and Mario Delvecchio were the Lunch/Registration Sponsors, Weymouth Rotary Club #6685 was the Cart Sponsor, Pilgrim Bank was the Range Sponsor and the Hole in One was sponsored by Toyota of Braintree.

“We have been very excited and heartened by the support of our corporate sponsors and our individual supporters.” Said Daryl Ann Cook, Executive Director of the Arc of the South Shore. “We can’t thank everyone enough for recognizing the fact that there will be some serious shortages in state funding and we need their help to maintain a lot of our programs that are so important to so many families.”

The organizers of the outing had been working since February to ensure that the event was a success. “We were a little concerned that the weather wouldn’t cooperate, but that wasn’t something we could control, so we just hoped for the best.” Said event co-Chair Normand Racicot of Fallon Ambulance Service. And a good day is what it turned out to be!

The golf committee included Co-Chairs Normand Racicot of Fallon Ambulance Service, Bob Falconi of Falconi Companies and committee members Arthur Davies, Marilyn and Leo Delvecchio, Scott Towne, Brian Madden of South Shore Savings Bank, Kathleen Bailey, who’s father Louis Bailey was the man the outing honors, and Arc representatives Daryl Ann Cook, David Forester, Marilyn Garland and Craig Pina.
