Walk for the Arc 2010

Welcome to the Walk for the Arc!!

If you're looking for a way to give back to the community while having fun with friends and family, then you've come to the right place!  The "2010 Walk for the Arc" is a 5k Walk/Run that will raise funds to support:

·         Community supports and respite for children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities;

·         Early intervention for infants and toddlers diagnosed with having developmental delays . . . services that could change their lives forever; and

·         Work opportunities for adults with disabilties who are eager and able to become more independent, productive members of our community.

·         And much, much more!

At the conclusion of the Walk, there will be a reception featuring entertainment, pie throwing, food, and more!!

Registration Fee: $25 (free with $50 in pledges)

Registration begins: 9am

Walk Celebration begins: 11am

Each Walker with;

$50 in pledges/donations receives a "Walk for the Arc" t-shirt

$100 in pledges/donations - Arc of the South Shore water bottle

$250 in pledges/donations - Arc of the South Shore beach towel

 Sponsorship Opportunities are available

Walk Route:

  • ~The Walk will begin at the Arc at 371 River St. and proceed down River St. to Regatta Rd. the road will then change to Wessagusset Rd. around Great Hill Park.
  • ~Turn left onto North St.
  • ~Turn left onto Bridge St., then another left onto Neck St. and proceed back to the Arc.
  • (An alternative 1k route will consist of completing the walking path at Webb Memorial Park)
